description Season for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15 Brannan Island State Recreation Area is located in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. This area northeast of San Francisco Bay has countless islands and marshes with many wildlife habitats and many opportunities for recreation-including boating, windsurfing, and swimming. One of the outstanding water-oriented recreation areas in the world, the area offers great fishing, which includes striped bass, sturgeon, catfish, bluegill, perch, and bullhead. Little Frank's Tract, a protected wetland marsh, is home to beaver, muskrat, river otter, mink, and 76 species of birds. Check the State Parks website for additional information on the weather, suggested day hikes, or to see the park brochure, campground map, park photos, video, and more. importantInformation Ramada reservations are day use only, no overnight stays are allowed. Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in. Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). Boat Berths are NOT reservable; they are closed for repair. Campers can call the park's message line at 916-777-6671.
